— It’s the end of the season, and that means you can make a batch of pumpkin spice lattes without having to make pumpkin pie crusts.
There’s also no need to have a pumpkin pie.
Just whip up some pumpkin spice latte mousse, whipped cream and pumpkin pie spice mix, and serve it with a dollop of pumpkin pie pie spice.
That’s how the recipe below, adapted from a recipe from this newspaper, turned out.
Here’s what you need:A mug of hot waterThe pumpkin spice mix and some powdered sugar.
Fill a mug with boiling water and add a little pumpkin spice.
Let sit for 10 minutes.
When the water starts to boil, pour the mix over the top.
Stir until everything is coated.
Put in the fridge for 10 more minutes or until the pumpkin spice mixture is almost solid.
You can leave the mug sitting overnight or freeze it for later.
Now, grab a pumpkin spice mousse and a spoon.
Fill it with hot water and pour in the pumpkin.
Pour a little bit of pumpkin in each cup.
Punch down on the spoon to coat.
If you don’t have a spoon, use your hands to stir in the ingredients.
Take the mousse out of the fridge and pour it into a glass measuring cup.
Add a little of pumpkin mix to each cup of mousse.
You can serve it warm or cold.
